Despite the prevalence of highly educated Orthodox Christians in the United States today, there is no comprehensive data on Orthodox Christian faculty teaching in the myriad disciplines of higher education. The new Orthodox Scholars’ Initiative (OSI) database is designed to enable Orthodox Christian faculty and researchers of every discipline—economists, scientists, historians, sociologists, etc.—to find an network with one another, as well as to serve as resources for Orthodox Christian students, parishes, and organizations.
