A Report on the Assembly of Bishops and Implications for SCOBA-Related Organizations
This session will consist of a report from Fr. Mark Arey, the current General Secretary for SCOBA on the first meeting of the Episcopal Assembly that will have met in late May and its implications for the future of pan-Orthodox relations in North America. Fr. Patrick Viscuso will give a response to the report from the perspective of a canonist and suggest some issue and implications of this new structure that will, presumably replace SCOBA. Fr. Leonid Kishkovsky will also respond to the report in the context of the OCA's history and its unique situation within the Orthodox jurisdictions of North America. The session will provide ample opportunity for those in attendance to put questions to all three presenters
