Questions at the Science-Religion Interface

Presenter(s):
Abstract:

New discoveries in science are challenging religious questions in a variety of fields including psychology, bioethics, etc.  Several questions have been identified by recent studies in molecular biology that have forced the Christian community to re-think views of sin, evil, etc.  These questions include:  (1) What is normal?  This question is particularly relevant in light of genetics studies of psychological disorders that have uncovered a strong genetic component.  (2) What is the role of nature vs nurture in our development as human persons?   (3) Should we limit technology?  (4)  Who are we as human persons? (5) Where are we going?
