Membership

The Society welcomes as members Orthodox Christians who reside in North America and are teaching theology at an institution of higher learning or are engaged in serious theological work or research. A candidate for membership typically will have at least a Master's degree in theology (or its equivalent) or a Master's degree in Arts, as well as significant additional graduate studies in theology or related disciplines.

Dues to OTSA are $25 per year. Support for the Annual Florovsky Lecture is encouraged through individual donations.

Benefits of Membership

Membership in OTSA provides discounted meeting registration, and full access to the website which includes the ability to create a profile, upload your academic publications for public perusal, direct access to other members.

Application Process

If you fit membership requirements and would like to join OTSA, please submit a Curriculum Vitae containing the following information.

  • Name, address, e-mail, phone and fax numbers,
  • Listing of degrees attained, institution, and date of conferral
  • Publications (books, articles, etc.)
  • Areas of research
  • Any teaching positions held
  • Lectures and papers delivered
  • Currently-held positions
  • Contributions to Orthodox theological scholarship

Please also indicate your reasons for seeking membership in the OTSA.

In addition, please arrange to have brief references sent from two OTSA members in good standing, either by mail or e-mail.

These materials may be submitted to the Secretary of the Society by April 1 prior to the Annual Meeting. Your application will be voted on at the Annual Meeting.
